Based in the Ottawa Valley, John David Williams plays clarinet, diatonic accordion, and harmonica. He studied classical clarinet at the University of Toronto and has been performing professionally in klezmer, traditional jazz, French traditional and various other folk and traditional music for the past 15 years. He’s played across Canada, throughout Eastern and Western Europe, in the USA, Australia, and China, performing at an eclectic variety of jazz and folk festivals. He’s played with Lemon Bucket Orkestra, Jaron Freeman-Fox and the Opposite of Everything, The Boxcar Boys, The West End Riverboat Band, and duo Emilyn Stam and John David Williams. Appearing on many CDs as a band member, or freelance musician, John has been included in projects nominated for Juno awards and Canadian Folk Music Awards.
